Hi I'm Briana S. Roker, better known as BSRTheFashionista!! For as far back as I can remember I’ve always had a love for fashion. I was introduced to fashion when I was five years old. My grandmother took me to Macy’s with her one day when she used to babysit me while my mom was at work, and I remember walking in to the store hand in hand with my grandmother as she led me through aisles filled with shiny bags, pretty dresses, and sparkly jewelry. After being pulled through every section of the store, we finally reached our final destination, the infamous shoe department. As we approached the shoe section there was such a huge crowd of women trying on, buying, and looking at all these gorgeous high-heeled shoes, dressed in pretty clothes, and wearing sparkly jewelry and to me it was as if this was some sort of amazing gorgeous shoe/pretty clothes/sparkly jewelry club that I just had to be apart of. I let go of my grandmother’s hand and tried on every high heel that I could find, because I wanted to be apart of this fabulous high-heels, pretty clothes, and sparkly jewelry lifestyle. From that day on I was that little girl who tried on everything in her mom’s closet, I was that teenage girl who bought every fashion magazine on the magazine stand, and I am now among the many individuals who work and/or have a career in fashion. As a fashion student at the Art Institute of Dallas I learned a significant amount about not only fashion, business, and design but about art as whole.

I love everything about the creativity and freedom behind fashion and style. It is truly an art in my eyes.  I’ve designed and created many concepts for photo-shoots, video shoots, and even commercials. I’ve been a triple threat for quite some time, with being able to model, style and creative direct for over the past 5 years or so. During my time of being a model I learned that the most important thing is executing the desired vision of the photographer as well as understanding the concept of the photo-shoot. As a stylist I figured out how to produce ideas and design visual representations through models that will illuminate the overall presentation of any artistic vision anticipated. My experiences as a former model and current fashion stylist have not only strengthened my skills in the creative process behind conceiving concepts, but they’ve also allowed me the privilege of comprehending all aspects behind the scenes and therefore strengthening my talents as a creative director.

I’ve always been a very creative person and my creative abilities are evident in everything I do. I’ve been a creative director, chief creative officer, and creative concept designer in which I was in charge of many presentations, events, and projects that allowed me the freedom of proving and expressing my creative abilities in many different forms. I simply love to create. My long-time fashion instructor at The Art Institute of Dallas Kristie Kite, said “Briana has an ability to create and see what others can’t by accentuating what is understood and emphasizing what is un-interpreted”. I believe that creativity is an art and “Art is supposed to have the power to provoke and the authority of a heartfelt vision”.

I am a fashion blogger, stylist, creative director, and full time fashionista! I'm blessed to be able to do what I love! From the moment you wake up to the second you fall asleep, fashion allows you to create yourself into whatever or whoever you want to be. One day you can be girly and the next you can be edgy, or perhaps you can be absolutely ridiculous & the next day, absolutely fabulous.

Fortunately for the ridiculous Rhonda's and fabulous Felicia's of the world ... in fashion there's no rules. Fashion is simply a form of expression that is created through clothes and exhibited through emotional persuasion. What I think is absolutely ridiculous may be absolutely fabulous to someone else. That's just the way it is in fashion. Therefore, be absolutely ridiculous if you like, or be absolutely fabulous if you please. Who cares! As long as you're being absolutely you. Take a look around my website, check out my blog, & view my portfolio where you'll get to see what makes me, me :) Enjoy!

XoXo,
